How to Visit the Ted Lasso Film Locations in Richmond

Last Updated on May 2, 2025 by Deanne

Ted Lasso filmed in Richmond, UK

Are you a Ted Lasso fan? Wondering where Ted Lasso was filmed? Much of the popular TV series was filmed right in the town of Richmond, England, eight miles southwest of London. My friends and I recently ventured to Richmond while on a ladies’ getaway to London. We had fun finding many of the iconic Ted Lasso film locations.

While I wish we had more time to explore (we made it there late in the evening) we managed to see many recognizable places from the show since all are within a short walk from each other.

Ted Lasso Film Locations

We strolled through Ted Lasso’s neighborhood and down the small pedestrian street right outside his front door. We saw Richmond Green, posed on the iconic park bench that Ted and Coach Beard often sat on, and put back a pint at the pub made famous by the hit TV show.

If you’re in London with a free afternoon, we highly recommend taking a quick jaunt to Richmond for a do-it-yourself tour of the Ted Lasso film locations.

(Heading to London in the spring? Check out our Packing List for London in the Spring)

Give yourself enough time in Richmond so you don’t run out of daylight like we almost did. (A couple hours is fine.) Then follow our detailed tips and directions below to help you find the Ted Lasso pub location, the famous Ted Lasso bench, and other fun spots from the show.

How to get from London to Richmond

If you’re staying in London, you’ve probably realized how easy it is to get around. The Underground, or tube, connects places all around town and can easily get you from one side of the massive city to the other in a matter of minutes.

The tube also reaches Richmond and is the easiest way to get to the Ted Lasso locations. Traveling from London to Richmond takes under a half-hour. Just hop on the District line and ride it all the way to Richmond. From there it’s just a short walk to all things Ted Lasso!

Richmond Green

Richmond Green, site of Ted Lasso film location

Richmond Green is a 12-acre grassy park often featured in the Ted Lasso series. Ted walks to work through this park where kids are often playing ball. Roy Kent helped coach the young girls’ soccer team here. It’s also the site of Dr. Sharon’s bike accident.

To get to Richmond Green from the Richmond Underground station, walk briefly south on A307 and turn right onto Quadrant Rd. Turn left onto Little Green, which becomes The Green, and that leads you along the east side of the park.

Richmond Green is a popular gathering spot in the community. Plan to hang out here for a bit. Better yet, bring a soccer ball along and get in a few kicks on the field.

Avoid these mistakes when planning your trip to London! Read here: London Itinerary: Important Do’s and Don’ts)

Ted Lasso Bench

Continue walking south on The Green along the east side of the park until you reach the far southeast corner of Richmond Green. Look across the street and you’ll see a very familiar site – a park bench next to two red phone booths. This is the same bench that Ted Lasso and Coach sit on while having insightful conversations.

Pose here for a picture or two!

When you’re done taking pictures, stand up, look over your right shoulder and you’ll see another recognizable Ted Lasso film location – the pub made famous by the show.

(With Richmond already on your itinerary, check out these other fun activities below!)

Ted Lasso Pub Location

The Prince's Head pub from the TV show Ted Lasso

Many Ted Lasso scenes take place in a restaurant and pub called Crown & Anchor. Rowdy Richmond residents gather here to watch the AFC Richmond matches and Ted and Coach have many drinks at this establishment.

The indoor scenes were shot in a London studio, but you can see the exterior of the Ted Lasso pub location at the real Richmond bar called, The Prince’s Head. Located just kitty-corner from Richmond Green and steps away from the park bench, you’ll want to stop in here for a pint. Sit outside on one of their picnic tables to recreate scenes from the show.

Ted Lasso’s Street

As you exit The Prince’s Head, turn left and walk down Paved Court. You’re now walking in the steps of Ted Lasso as he exits his house every morning and heads to work. You’ll recognize the small, charming alleyway.

Make your way to the black door that says 11a. That’s Ted Lasso’s front door – although in the show the house number was 9-½. Again, the inside scenes were shot in a London studio and just the exterior was used for the filming of Ted Lasso. So by all means, don’t go knocking on the door and disturb the residents who actually live there!

Worth the Trip

I highly recommend a quick side trip to Richmond for all Ted Lasso fans. Given how easy it is to get from London to Richmond you’ll want to include these Ted Lasso film locations in your London itinerary.

Hi – Thanks for all the great info and location sites. I looked at a tour for the day I was available and it was over $200 for just 1. Yikes! I know I could do this on my own and save quite a bit of money. Thank You

Hi Liz, I’m glad you found my DIY Ted Lasso tour tips helpful. Guided tours can be very pricey even though I’m sure they include extra information about the show. The sites from Ted Lasso are all close together and easy to find that it just makes sense to do it on your own in my opinion. Thanks for the comment!

Chickens roam freely throughout the streets of Key West and have become an iconic part of the Key West experience. Some locals even believe the chickens bring good luck.✨ So go ahead and take that picture, but don’t feed them or bother them, as they’re protected by local law.
